Harare has had a busy year for openings, with South African names arriving and local operators opening new rooms. Everything here has opened since late 2025.
New places change quickly in their first months, so menus, prices and hours may shift. We'll keep this list up to date as we check them.

Tiger's Milk Harare
The South African chain's Harare branch opened in June 2026 on Selousville Road in Highlands. Wood-fired pizza, burgers, grills and Tex-Mex, a full bar and garden seating on the lawns. Early reviews praise the staff, though a few dishes have gone back to the kitchen.

A newly opened franchise with a pleasant garden and attentive staff. The Wagyu burger disappointed, with a soggy bun and uneven fries, and the taco arrived incomplete. The malva pudding was the best thing. Toilets are narrow and lack grab rails.

Opened in mid-2026 at the Chisi Walk garden complex in Chisipite. Breakfast is the draw so far; the lunch menu is short, and it stays open for dinner from Thursday to Saturday.
CoCoNut Lounge
A Glen Lorne restaurant, bar and coffee spot that opened in March 2026, open from breakfast until midnight. Saturday afternoons run on into the evening with a DJ.
Platō Coffee Harare
The South African speciality coffee chain's first branch outside South Africa, opened in November 2025 on ED Mnangagwa Road. It's mostly takeaway and the drinks are the point; the food choice is small.

A reliable latte in a clean, calm room that works for meetings or quiet work. Useful rather than worth a special trip; pastries and sandwiches are also sold.

A new South African coffee chain in a calm, minimalist room with friendly baristas. The ristretto-based signature drinks were excellent. Cake was good, though it came in a box with a wooden fork.

The Harare sister of Bulawayo's Smokehouse opened at Greenfields Shopping Centre in November 2025. Pork ribs and sharing platters are the orders, with sadza on the side if you want it. Book at weekends.
Zaytoon Restaurant
A Mediterranean and Turkish restaurant in Mount Pleasant, open since 2025, serving shakshuka, kebabs, pide and grills with a leafy outdoor area. The hake and the blueberry cheesecake have fans; other dishes are less consistent.
The Alibi Bar & Grill
A café, grill and cocktail bar at Paddington Square that opened in late 2025, serving from breakfast at 07:30 until late. The rib and chicken combo is the signature, and there's a Sunday roast.
