What people are saying

Active Sushi operates out of the N1 Hotel compound in Victoria Falls, and it turns out to be more of a Chinese restaurant than a sushi bar. Brian (May 2026) put it well: “More of a Chinese restaurant that has sushi than a sushi restaurant with Chinese offerings”. The sushi itself keeps surprising people who came expecting only the Chinese menu; Jonathan (May 2024), after eating there three times, said it “smelled good and it tasted good”, and several other reviewers rated it just as highly.

Speed and value get mixed reports. Stuart (August 2025) had a soup in 10 minutes and a main 10 minutes later, and found the prices “more reasonable than at some of the other restaurants in the area”. Sithabile (August 2026) had a different experience, describing staff “walking about like they dont want to be at work” and a delay in service.

Seating is outdoors, so SB (March 2026) noted bugs and a power cut during a short visit. Active Sushi is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00.

“Decent vegetarian chow mein and chicken with rice with a reasonable price tag. Location isn’t great as it’s outdoor so plenty of bugs and the power went out multiple times during our short stay. But nice to finally have Asian food!”
