Garden City Restaurant

Garden City Restaurant on the corner of Fifth Street and Jason Moyo Avenue in Gweru draws diners for sadza and grilled bones in a relaxed, garden-style setting. Sal (August 2025) liked the “great sadza and meaty bones”, and Afful (October 2023) called the sadza amazing in a lovely setting. Debrah (January 2025) rated the food top notch and the space good for picnics as well as sit-down meals.

Not every visit goes as well. Sharlene's 2023 review described ordering beef bones and sadza, asking for meaty portions, and receiving mostly fat and bone instead; a promised replacement never arrived and half the menu was unavailable that day. Bradley (February 2026) also said the food was not good and could not be finished, though most other reviewers, including Abhiram (October 2025), call it a place worth visiting with family.

Garden City is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm.
