Kuimba Shiri is a bird sanctuary on the shores of Lake Chivero with two restaurants overlooking the lake, a full bar, a coffee shop and a sweet shop. Visitors come for lunch and sundowners, the daily bird-of-prey display, sunset cruises and canoeing, and there are chalets and a campsite.

“Nice, quick trip from Harare. Lots of space for kids to run around in the green space next to the lake. It's a nice place for parents and families to sit outside and relax while kids play. Our kids loved it here and didn't want to leave.”

“Best Side of Lake Chivero, But Watch Your Change Entrance is $8 and I’d say it’s the more entertaining side of Lake Chivero. You get the same activities as the other side and more. I went with my driver and paid $20 at the gate.”

“Good vibe and a nice place to chill out. However, the staff were a bit overwhelmed took ages for our order to be processed. Had to wait an extra 5 minutes to get cutlery and 5 more to get salt which seemed to be scarce (the food had zero salt, so we had to wait) .”
