Pariah State in Avondale draws people back for the mood as much as the menu: a breezy upstairs balcony, DJ sets and Trivia Tuesdays. Ian (March 2026) summed it up as “Awesome environment. Awesome music. Awesome food.” Waiters get named and thanked often; Zvikomborero (October 2022) said Haze “gave us the best service, found us a great spot to sit outside”.

On the food, the short rib, creamy spinach and platters come up often. Mrs C. (2023) enjoyed the short rib and called the creamy spinach “amazing”, but found the kitchen would not swap sides, insisting fish came only with chips. “The ambiance was right but the food. We ordered a platter and the chicken wings in that platter were dry and the kebabs were slightly burnt. Raised the issue with the waitress serving us, had to escalate to the manager, who was not so friendly.”

“I give this one 4.5 .I had a good tym the last tym I was here. The drinks are GreAt,waiters very helpful and friendly. However the food is quite pricy even though its great. There is a lady Dj that plays more often. I enjoyed her mix. The vibe is awesome.”

“I loved their steak. Their chips and onion rings are delicious. The long island is actually a big glass and can be shared. The Playlist was lovely. I really did enjoy the music. I say it's a perfect chill spot for birthday celebrations and anything to do with fun.”
