Sorrel sits behind Avondale Shopping Centre and serves Jamaican food from a husband-and-wife team, one from Jamaica and one from Zimbabwe, who bring in ingredients and rum from home. James (December 2025) called it “excellent representation of a Jamaican experience” after the oxtail and curry goat, and Evester (March 2024) was glad to learn “the chef and spices are actually from Jamaica”, naming the oxtail with rice and peas as a favourite.
