Afrotopia Café sits inside Harare's National Gallery grounds, an art-filled cafe reviewers treat as one of the city's more creative spots. Nono (August 2023) called it “one of if not the best creative space and cafe in harare”. Breakfast is a regular order at around $5 a plate: Sympathy (February 2025) goes back “regularly for the 5usd breakfast” alongside a favourite chicken salad, and Ignatious (April 2025) enjoyed the plate but flagged “no substitution for bacon if you're not a Pork Eater”.

Drinks come generously poured, according to Shumirai (October 2025), who said staff “fill the wine glass to the brim”. Service can slip at peak lunch hour, when reviewers say the small team gets stretched, so a few suggest visiting mid-morning or mid-afternoon instead.

“It’s a perfect place to be during the morning and later afternoon, perfect for great bites and conversations. The staff is quite nice, during peak times they tend to be overwhelmed. For a great experience I’d recommend any time other than lunch hour. Great food,”
