Franco Foods is a grill spot in Mutare's CBD built around tshisa nyama style meat: T-bone, chicken, pork, fish and sausage, most dishes priced between $3 and $7. Ivan (May 2023), an American tourist, called it a place with “great, cheap, grilled local meals”, and Calma (2023) regularly orders sadza with two or three meat types split across plates for dinner.

The food is cooked fresh in front of customers, but collecting it draws repeat complaints. Sithabiso (May 2026) said “the guys with the food dont follow a queue, it's just a lottery system to receive your order”, and Eliot (December 2025) described staff swamped by the crowd and the heat from the fire. Tendeso (July 2026) found the T-bone steak overcooked and chewy despite the fresh preparation.
