What people are saying
Hamburger Hut, despite the name, is best known for its pies. Tinashe (July 2025) drove across town for them, calling them “the best pies in the country,” and Andy (July 2025) credits the cook, Charisse, as “such a kind helpfull lady who cooks orgasmic food.” Joyce (September 2022) said “The meaty steak pie never disappoints, everything in the right proportions,” and Keith (June 2018) called it home to the best chicken pie “I've ever tasted”, after trying plenty of others.
The burgers get praised too, though at a price. VIP (June 2022) found the burger “very filling and delicious” and consistent over time, while MukanyaWest (June 2019) agreed the burgers are “very tasty and large but they are expensive.”
