Little Mereki

Little Mereki serves Zimbabwean traditional meals from a spot on the edge of Harare's CBD, and rabbit meat with sadza is a recurring order. Jerry (November 2024) enjoyed “mhunga sadza and rabbit meat, which was cooked to perfection”, and Tinotenda (2023) also enjoyed the rabbit meat with sadza, noting the “shef” deserved credit despite a stern waiter. Edzai (December 2022) praised the “well cooked beef bones!!!!”.

Seasoning divides reviewers. Sam (2023) called the zondo “Very salty” and found the pumpkin leaves in peanut butter “tough and disgusting”, writing that “the food is not well seasoned or cooked”. Tatenda (September 2026), in a more recent visit, found a meal “over-seasoned for my liking, which made it hard to finish” and suggested “A lighter hand with the spices”.
