MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant

MaKuwa-Kuwa, inside Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, is built entirely around its view of a waterhole where game comes to drink. Christina (May 2025) watched a resident elephant at night and a crocodile resting by the water while eating lamb shank, steak and chicken, and called the hospitality great with “acapella singing over your dinner table”. Trish (June 2023) called it simply “Greatest view in Victoria Falls for a sundowner”.

The daily vulture feeding at 1pm draws its own reviews. Alick (October 2021) described the birds circling and nesting in anticipation before a guide, Zulu, placed the meat and explained the conservation work behind the programme, calling it “well worth the experience”. Pius (May 2025) praised the pizza and met chef Clayton in person, while Emma found several vegetarian options that could be made vegan, including a hummus dish Emma called delicious.

Service draws consistent praise, though I (June 2026) had cornfed chicken and beef that were “flavorful and cooked to perfection” but noted service was slow and a requested to-go box never arrived. Breakfast runs 06:45 to 10:00, lunch 12:30 to 14:00 and dinner 19:00 to 22:00, with bookings essential.
