Queen of Hearts

Queen of Hearts in Highlands is less a single restaurant than a garden complex with several kitchens sharing the property, serving oxtail and peri-peri chicken alongside sushi, pizza and Indian dishes. Andy (December 2023) tried the oxtail and found “The meat was well cooked, the sour dough bread to compliment the sauce was well paired.” SimbaRashe (April 2024) ordered the peri-peri half chicken and said “the flavour of the chicken was on point and the size of the chicken was generous.”

The sushi has fans, though other dishes are hit and miss. Rosemond (June 2024) called the sushi “absolutely amazing” but found the dumplings “weren't exactly what I wanted.” Tawonga (February 2025) enjoyed a night with live music but thought “the ribs could have been juicier,” and Mashu (April 2023) had a rib eye that was “a bit on the tough side” before the flavour won them over.

Weekends bring a live band and a garden setting that hosts everything from first dates to Daphne's parents' 28th wedding anniversary in March 2022. A play area keeps children occupied while the garden's small boutiques draw browsers, though Talent (March 2022) noted “it get so crowded” at peak times, and Tsungai (May 2022) warned that “Self-service days are a scam.”
