Salt in Borrowdale's Lifestyle Centre has drawn a mostly five-star crowd for burgers, fillet steak and prawns, but its two most recent reviews break that pattern. Mazu (September 2026) found the mozzarella sticks “very bland, almost no flavor” and the chips “Tasted like frozen chips”, though the shrimp dynamite starter was well seasoned. Natsai (January 2026) described a Christmas lunch where dishes across the table arrived with “no salt at all”, rating the chicken tenders “a 4/10”.

“Visited Salt yesterday afternoon with a friend for lunch, the service was good, staff were friendly, ambience is great however the food could use some improvement. For appetizers l got their mozzarella sticks and my friend got the shrimp dynamite,l tasted both.”
