About
What to Expect
One of Harare's longest-running Indian restaurants, in a house on Cecil Rhodes Drive in Newlands. It was started by members of the city's Indian community and has been a Newlands fixture for well over a decade. The menu is North Indian: tandoori dishes, curries, prawns, basmati rice and naan, with plenty for vegetarians. A 2011 visit by the Harare blog Dinner Club found the curries properly spicy, the service slow but personal, and the dining room dim and hung with Indian paintings. A 2017 Harare round-up singled it out for generous portions. It now opens Friday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, and Monday for lunch only, so check before you go midweek.
